For travelers always fascinated to travel India as their most preferred destination. They travel to capture it’s beauty, people’s lifestyle and it’s cultural diversity. Combining your travel and our teaching project adds meaning and creates impacts in the lives of the people in India. You can make simple differences by helping children and teachers to improve their conversational English skills. Children and teachers want to learn English to enter global market for gainful employment and higher education. What is in Teaching and Training :
You will find simple class rooms, equipped with very basic infrastructure and packed with children. Children are always eager to learn and waiting to talk to you. You don’t have to be a professional teacher. Your simple conversation will motivate the children to learn. It is an inspiration to see how children learn. Lessons are taught in the class rooms through recitation. In primary sections children learn repeating. Teachers explain in local language and write explanations and solutions on the black board. A small section of the school wall is painted in black which serves as the black board and teachers use chalks to write on the board.
Volunteers are comfortable in teaching English, but you are also welcome to teach Mathematics, Science, Geography and IT. Simple lessons in IT skills like operating computers and laptops, MS office, internet and power point will be simple and appropriate.
Sometimes it is challenging but most of the teachers are good in teaching the structure of the language but lack confidence in conversing in English. If you are skilled in the language you may train the teachers in spoken English.

India is a great adventurous destination to travel and to live. One has to adapt to different lifestyle and culture totally different from the west. India is colorful, rich in culture and at some time chaotic but the same becomes adventurous. The cultural heritages and architectures are 5000 years old and vibrate ancient wisdom and science. Modern developments like roads and infrastructures are shown as priorities for developments. Most of the cities have well developed modern airports connected with metros and transport system.
India is the second most populated country in the world. Cities have good infrastructure when compared to the rural areas. The economy is greatly dependent on agriculture. The gap between the rich and poor is widening and the marginalized are the tribal and migrants who move to the cities for mundane job opportunities.Schools in Madurai:
The education system in India is divided into Pre-primary (kindergartens), Primary School (age 6 to 10 years) Middle School (age 11 to 13 years) High School (age 14 and 15) and Higher Secondary (age 16 to 18 years). Students complete the Grade 12 before they complete 18 years of age. After the school education they move to Graduation and Post Graduation courses in Universities.
